Swedish Winter πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ

Swedish Winter πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ

We’re getting a the true Swedish πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ͺ winter experience this year so far. We had a solid week of nearly constant snow and last night dipped down to -16℃ (3℉) so it looks like it’s here to stay. One advantage of being in a place where snow is so frequent, is the city knows how to deal with it, and has the equipment on hand for doing so. Usually after a fresh snowfall, our street gets plowed within a few hours of it stopping. Snow in Seattle was so infrequent, that even a few cm would basically put everyone into panic mode where they wouldn’t drive as the city didn’t even have snow plows to deal with it. πŸ”οΈ

We don’t have a car here right now, so at least the inconvenience of driving in this isn’t one we have to endure, but it does mean that any trip outside, even to the end of the driveway means getting bundled up for the cold.

Slight inconveniences aside.. it sure is a pretty season when the sun is up. The neighborhood feels so calm and cozy .
