A Reduction in Workforce 📉

Just as I had found something I was really excited to work on at work, we had a massive layoff that was positioned in the most corporate way I’d heard so far since this is my 4th time dealing with layoffs. “We announcing a necessary reduction in our workforce.” 🙄

Like I said.. it’s not the first time I’ve been through this. My layoff record is 3 wins and 1 loss, so I’m doing okay. There is the usual survivors guilt that hangs around for a while, but this one luckily didn’t hit anyone I know directly.

This isn’t a long entry, but on the good side, my big presentation went very well and I got almost unanimously positive feedback. The rest of the feedback was useful, so if I have to do this again, I have some areas I can improve. 🙂
